| For those of you who do your own makeup for carnival, what are some of the products you use for the two days on the road and swear by? In terms of water proof makeup, my top picks are Laura Mercier waterproof mascara and Revlon Colorstay eyeliner. Since I have oily skin I am yet to find a foundation or power that stands the test of Carnival i.e. after level jamishness I dont look like I just rubbed Vaseline all over my face. Now I don’t expect to look matt but... maybe its my technique, i dunno... | |

| Swear by Revlon Color Stay foundation, Makeup Forever Fixing Spray, Blotting Sheets and the secret weapon.. MILK OF MAGNESIA used as a primer. Hope this helps. | |

| 1. Make Up For Ever aqua cremeliner. It withstood a water truck for 2 hours at joubert, 8 hours on the road & 30 min of me trying to get it off!
2. Make Up For Ever eye seal: turns any liner/eyeshadow into a waterproof one.
3. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
4. MAC Face Primer with SPF 50: I've used this & a tinted moisturizer to even out my face. My face tends to get irritated with too much foundation on it.

Hi Jaybee I have the same problem, but i'm going to try a make up artist this yr, but revlon color stay is good though u should try that. there is also a Sacha setting powder(its white and costs about 40somthing TT) that you can use that makes your foundation stay on for hrs.

| You could also do the same thing with Sacha's Fix-It spray (which is just witch hazel and water btw). Spray it on the eye shadow brush/applicator and dip it in the colour.
Colour is more vibrant and last longer.

| How many of you get your makeup professionally done?
Do you do it yourself?
What ideas do you have for your costumes?
What's your inspiration?

I got mine professionally done for the first time on Carnival Tuesday this year and will be doing it again on Carnival Tuesday for 2009. Do you do it yourself? In the past I have done it myself and on Carnival Monday this year I also did it myself using the Color Pro instant makeup. What ideas do you have for your costumes?I am thinking outstanding eyes but not too much as the costume is already SO much What's your inspiration?Feathers and bling!! How often do u have to "touch-up"?I did a touch up at lunch time when we stopped in the park. Only reapplied some powder and lip gloss the eyes were perfect. On the road I just blot with the oil absorbent sheets.

| Feathers and bling for your makeup? Hmmm... I'm torn between going all out/dramatic with my makeup or keeping it nice and elegant like the costume. I'm leaning toward dramatic eyes with bling and a simple lip gloss or something. | |
