| It's taking me this long to start exercising since the high in MD has been 32 degrees Farenheit. FREEZING. But for the last week I have been power walking a mile in the cold with my dog and doing a 30 minute workout tape each night with my husband. So if I aint in shape in 26 days before I leave, I will still be having a ball at the fetes and on the road. I am SOOO READY FOR THE SUN!!! | |

| gym tonight with the personal trainer - got the ipod ready for my cardio session!
He's making me do my regular jogging and then 5 to 10 (depending on how i feel) sprints right after to boost the cardio and metabolism. Dunno if that is working but it's a killer!

| i agree mysti, 40 mins is as long as i can go on a treadmill - and that is with my soca to keep me going. I prefer to run outside, Chancellor, Savannah, walk up Paramin Hil lol. But i understand if you in the middle of winter the treadmill is probably the only chance of jogging. Thank God for warm weather all year round!!

| Girl, with as much distraction. Usually the soca tunes are well sufficient but I have to say that yesterday's workout was the LONGEST 2 hrs of my life! After 3 minutes I was feeling dead! And as I am in the dead of winter here in Canada, I have no other option because I aint walking outside in the cold cold COLD weather!!
So it is Soca, surfing the net on my blackberry, watching the gym TV and reading the magazines, oh and visualizing how hot I will look when I am liming and jumping up at home, that keeping me going for 2 hrs at a time. | |

| i can only do a max of 30 min. on the treadmill before i'm bored to tears so i try to keep it at that. yesterday i ran 3 miles and did some ab work. my P90x came in the mail yesterday, it's ON LIKE BOILED CORN!!!!!! | |

| I can stay on the elliptical longer than the treadmill for some reason, even with high resistance. Like PassionFruit, I keep going by visualizing how I'll look in a few weeks! Especially since my bad dream! I've increased the intensity (and frequency) of my circuit training/conditioning and am adding 1 hour cardio in the evenings when I can, aiming for 5 nights each week. This week so far: Jan 19th: cardio training - 1 hour Jan 20th: walked over 2 hours to get to location to see US Presidential Inauguration, intervals of standing, walking, and lifting my 52 pound son on my shoulders for 3 hours, then 50 minutes back home. Too tired to do anything at home that night. Jan 21-23: cardio/resistance circuit - 1 hour and 30 minutes - 1 hour cardio in pm We're on the homestretch! Although I don't post daily, I keep checking for inspiration....and you all help! Thanks! | |
