| well Soca Junkie & Passion Fruit... today I started my P90X routine. it's the devil even though i've been working out steadily, i still have muscles hurting that i never knew existed, lol i did the "Core Synergistics" workout today for an hour. it isolates the core muscles with a variety of different exercises, it even works the glutes. all i can say is i'm SORE as hell but i know i've had a good workout. | |

LOL - We passed the FEMA bldg, McD's, Holiday Inn or some hotel, CVS, and some other places that were open on the way there. There were porta potties that we saw as we were leaving! | |

| Aha!
In terms of how close to my goals, I like how I look and feel but am stuck on my weight. Would like to get about 10 lbs lighter and I should get there. Keeping up the workouts for stamina and tightening/toning. Cutting out the alcohol right now is a struggle though!! | |

| I want to lose another 4 - 9 pounds but even losing that I think my belly is my nemesis. And I have a bit of fat on my back too. Apparently the only thing that can help me is Cardio. So adding two more runs per week to see if that helps. PassionFruit > apparently if you plauteau you need to change something up, like do different exercises, or change your diet somehow. That's what got me through my plauteau | |

Hey PassionFruit...I am about the same weight as last carnival by my body fat % is down by about 4-5% and I have lost inches. You may have done better than you thought. Like my trainer tells me, 'forget about the scale'. I still obsess over it though | |

So the nerve of some people....I had to tell the spin instructor off this morning. I just had it. All this damn chit chat in class. This eh no social event. When I wake up @ 4:00 a.m. to go work out, then I want to work out. So she's having individual conversations during class, other folks are having their own conversations and my heart rate is dropping and meh blood boiling. Focus people foucs. Carnival is in a 3 weeks. So I did meh out workout. When I found recoveries were too long I increased my intensity and did meh own thing. Then after class I politely told her what I thought. I know she wasn't expecting that because her smile quickly turned upside down! Oh well - now she knows!

| I have upped my cardio and now there are problems. Shin splints to be exact. I used to get them all the time but good shoes and losing weight have really helped. But now that my running is more intense and more frequent I don't think my shins pains are recovering in time for my next session and it makes it really painful. I don't know what to do because it's crunch time and I still have some fat to shift, but I REALLY don't want Carnival Monday and Tuesday to come and I am in pain I would have tried other cardio but running is where I burn the most calories as I tend to do it with the most effort. | |
